The S19 antimeter will dig twice as many BTCs as it has done?

Bitmain published a message revealing the latest ASIC device – Antminer S19. It is twice as powerful as the previous one.

The biggest tycoon in the mining of digital currencies in the world, Bitmain, is launching a new “bitcoin machine”.

Antminer S19 appeared in the preliminary specification on the company website. However, it cannot be bought yet. The price was not specified, nor was the delivery date of the product. However, we know that the shipment of the previous generation of Antminer S17+ and T17+ devices will start in April.

The new systems will be characterized by doubled computing power in comparison with older machines. Bitmain has developed four variants of devices. In the Antminer S19 Pro version, the hashrate is 110 or 105 TH/s, in the slightly poorer model, without “plus” it is 95/90 TH/s.

These Antminers only allow to extract cryptocurrencies with SHA256 algorithm, that is mainly bitcoin, bitcoin cash and bitcoin sv.

The energy efficiency in both variants of the Pro version is 29.5 J/TH, while in the basic version it is 34.5 J/TH. Power supply power in both cases is 3250 W.

Twice as much digital gold

The Antminer S17 with a power of up to 55 TH/s is estimated to excavate 1 BTC per year with 4 devices. The latest model S19 will do this twice as fast, assuming nothing changes. But we know that a lot will change with halving coming. The countdown clock for halving is on the BitHub homepage.

What’s more, the bitcoin network has developed to such an extent that one S19 chip corresponds to all of the 2013 network output.
